Tips & tricks - Chocolate Raspberry

DECORATING INSTRUCTIONS

  • Fill the layers
  • Put a very small dollop of buttercream onto the cake board or plate to keep the cake from slipping around.

Place the first layer onto the plate or cake board bottom side down. Put a large dollop of buttercream onto the layer can spread it around using a palette knife or spatula until you have an even layer that is around 1-2cm thick. Place the next layer on top, bottom side up. For a three-layered cake, repeat the process.

  • Raspberries
  • Place ⅔  of the raspberries in a crescent moon shape around the left-hand side of the cake. Crush up the remaining raspberries with your fingers to make smaller pieces and some dust.

Sprinkle the smaller pieces across the whole raspberries and out to the slides of the crescent shape. Take the dust and hold it higher and sprinkle it down on the same side going wider each time.

    • Pistachios

Crush  the pistachios into smaller pieces (see our pic) and place them on the same side as the raspberries.

  • Rose Petals
  • Sprinkle rose petals with the raspberries and voila, the cake decorating is complete.
