The midnight baker

I'm not saying my midnight cake baking sessions ahead of my children's birthdays are gone for good, but now that we have created these tried and tested cake kits I'd say the stress involved will be all but gone and I'll be able to finally enjoy the process and know I've got it under control. 

I don't know about you guys, but I used to find it utterly stressful, time consuming and actually incredibly costly trawling various websites to find the bits and pieces I needed to create the cakes I thought I wanted to make. I used to google a different recipe each time, search various websites and try to hack together a way of decorating and topping the cake like some picture I had seen, try to find some candles somewhere local that worked and hope it all arrived from the various places in time to actually make the cake ahead of my kids birthday. 

I never had a recommendation of a good cake to use, I never had the right equipment and always wondered why my 'she'll be right' attitude to it all never turned out quite as I desired. I remember a particular time trying to make a fancy 'ganache' icing for a friends birthday cake and by the time I got to her party the icing was melting and the whole cake started leaning awfully to the left and I had to get it straight into her fridge (all lopsided), as soon as I arrived. Not quite the grand entrance I was after!

We really want to take that stress out. Not only through our cake kits which have been tried and tested time and again to make sure they're easy to follow and turn our moist and delicious every single time, but we also wanted to bring our favourite equipment, cake toppers and candles onto the site so you can trust that they are going to work together and look stylish and chic. It should be noted we're only just starting as a business so if there is a topper you'd love us to add to our collection please let us know!

Along side all this we'll be adding our tips and tricks across our social media and youtube channels so we can help you all out there as best as we can to smash out those fantastic cakes and just build your cake decorating skills in general.
